RITA BANERJI IN INDIA

TV Documentary, 45 Min., for arte, swr. A FILM BY Frei Werner Schuessler

A WOMAN PREVAILS.

Indian wildlife filmmaker Rita Banerji whirls in a tour de force crisscrossing her vast homeland. She fights for biodiversity and against poaching. Seeing herself as a mediator in the frequent human-animal conflicts, she knows that good solutions can only be found together with the local people. On her journey, she experiences dangerous animal encounters and touching births of countless sea turtles. And she reaches out to connect with former hunters and poachers.
